Enthusiasts of luxury cars are excited about the remarkable discovery of 16 Ferraris and 6 Porches inside an old warehouse in Belgium.
The warehouse owner in Brussels found the 22 high-end vehicles and contacted Oldtimerfam, a car collection organization, to have the cars appraised.
“It was a lot of highly rare Ferraris and Porsches,” said classic car expert Xavier Molenaar to Jam Press.
All the cars were wrapped in covers and looked to be in fantastic condition, Molenaar said.
Among the treasure was a large number of Ferrari Testarossas, he noted. The Testarossas were produced between 1984 and 1996, with used models selling online for up to $180,000.
The car expert said that different versions and colors of the vehicle were found, according to Oldtimerfam.
Some Porsche 911 cars were seen in Turbo and “S” models – newer versions selling for up to $250,000.
Most of the vehicles in the warehouse were rare finds, Molenaar said.
“Although these models have disappeared from the streets and have been intensely sought after by collectors, they are occasionally found at a fair,” he told Jam Press.
The rarest car in the collection was the Ferrari 365 GT4 BB – built in the 1970s. One model was sold at Sotheby’s in 2022 for $276,000. Another rare find was a Ferrari 550 Maranello.
The warehouse also contained a yellow Ferrari F512 M – of which there are rumors that only 10 were made, according to Molenaar.
“In this exceptional and unrestored condition, it is perhaps the only one in the world,” he said.
All 22 vehicles were transferred to Oldtimerfarm in Aalter, Belgium – where they will be fully restored and then put up for sale, according to Oldtimerfam.
